Ernst & Young implemented PeopleSoft HRMS 7.5 May 2000. The
decision to upgrade to version 8.3 in 2003 was made to enable
Ernst & Young to take advantage of new functionality and to
re-engineer the bulk of their original customizations around
new business processes enabled through PeopleSoft 8.3. The
re-implementation was also required to support their HR
operation as it went through a major re-organization to
centralised HR Service Centre model.
Congruent worked closely with the Ernst & Young team to
identify the best process fit for the new vanilla PeopleSoft
application improving the accuracy and integrity of HR data
and reducing the risk of input errors. The overall number of
customisations were reduced by 50% and over 1600 reports and
queries were rationalized to 55 flexible reports to reduce the
overall cost of ownership.
